Lapland is winter wonderland. Probably because it’s the home of Santa Claus.. or maybe because it’s nature’s haven with a hint of magic.
The first snowfall usually comes in October and the landscape suddenly becomes untouched and muffled: snow, sky, pure wilderness as far as the eye can see.
Among the places that I have visited Lapland, it is undoubtedly the one that has conquered my heart the most.
“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them with a white quilt.”
(Lewis Carrol, Alice in Wonderland)
